Sharleen Spiteri's guide to 'homaging the 60s'
Story filed Monday, 21 July 2008
EXHIBIT A: 'All These Times I Cried' by Sharleen Spiteri.

EXHIBIT B: 'Written and produced by Sharleen Spiteri'.

EXHIBIT C: 'Out In The Streets' by The Shangri-Las.

Sharleen should sue. What has clearly happened here is that the Shangri-Las have travelled forward in time, stolen a bit of Sharleen's hit single, then travelled back in time and decided to release it as a pseudo-pseudo-60s inspired pop tune. Did they think nobody would notice? They've even used the same style of music that Sharleen pioneered back in the 1990s! When we get home this evening we will check our Shangri-Las albums to see if they have credited Sharleen.
