Matt Cardle thinks his new album is as good as a hastily cobbled together meal in a restaurant

Matt Cardle has compared his new album to a shit meal in a restaurant.

Having a chat with Dannii Minogue (no seriously), the 'Run For Your Life' hitmaker was asked about his hastily-recorded second album, to which he replied: "It feels almost like when you order something in a res­taur­ant and it comes out within five minutes and you think 'that can't be any good'."

Hm. His point, though, is that things have actually turned out to be sur­pris­ingly alright.

As well as that fairly unin­spir­ing analogy, he also had this to say about his new opus, 'The Fire': "I think it's by far and away my best work."

Praise indeed.
