Charli XCX had a chat with Digital Spy about her forthcoming new single and basically it's a bit like 'I Love It', which seems like a good idea.
"It's a mix of the Icona Pop track and takes inspiration from Bow Wow Wow, The Waitresses and The Flying Lizards and those Lolita-esque bratty French girls and other girl power heroines," she mused.
"I wrote the song the same week as 'I Love It'. Let's just say I was in a similar mind frame! The video is also the best I've ever shot. It's a completely new vibe."
Apparently said video will be out "very soon hopefully".
She also had some things to say about the album, which she would quite like to be released in March: "The songs are quite shouty and brattty. It's more live and less intimate. The songs are very pop with a bit of punk."
"I figure I took so long to make the last one, why not just get it out straight away. I've written half of it already and I've already got the the first three big singles for it."
Potentially amazing.
