Mariah Carey's label Def Jam have denied that she's undertaking a partial beyoncé with her next album, despite Carey and her manager Jermaine Dupri both hinting that she was going to do something vaguely interesting.
According to your friend and ours Laura Swanson, Def Jam's exec VP-media, the album will have a fairly traditional release strategy ahead of its "late May" 'street date'.
"Mariah will announce the date and title in advance of the on-sale date,” Swanson said to Billboard, adding that the cover and confirmed tracklist will all be included.
So there we are. Nothing to see here.
