They're quite busy over at Pete Waterman's place. As well as being on the verge of reissuing a load of long-lost recordings on CD for the first time (that 'Acid Remix' of Mandy Smith's 'Boys And Girls' can now be yours) they're preparing the entire PWL back catalogue for sale through iTunes, and on the Pete Waterman website you can even have a look at a selection of DATs from the olden days. Some of the reissued stuff will be rubbish, of course, but the availability of these recordings is really valuable in the sense that it will provide a proper record of a specific period in British pop music which would otherwise have rotten in cardboard boxes. Hurrah.
