Christina Aguilera has announced she has begun work on the follow-up to 2010's 'Bionic'.
Promoting her new talent search programme 'The Voice' on talkshow Regis & Kelly, the singer revealed that the new record will take inspiration from her "crazy year" and of filming her debut film Burlesque.
Although Aguilera claims she loves the process of co-writing and bouncing ideas off another person, she admits that she couldn't pass up the Linda Perry penned 'Beautiful' — her self-labeled 'anthem' — as it is "a great song to connect to an audience with" when sung live.
Recalling her recent induction as the first star on West Hollywood's Gay Walk of Fame, host Kelly Ripa asked whether a lot of drag queens attempted to look like the singer. "Yeah, well I've given them a lot to work with over the years," came the reply.
