Eminem is taking legal action against Audi after they used his 2002 single 'Lose Yourself' without permission. The song was previously used in a Chrysler advert, but with Eminem's say so.
A spokesman for Eight Mile Style, Eminem's publishing company, said: “We believe Audi not only used 'Lose Yourself' to sell their product without permission, but their [advert] actually feels inspired by elements of Chrysler’s commercial campaign.”
You can judge for yourself just how similar the Audi audio sounds by watching the full advert here.
In non-lawsuit news, Eminem is due to release a new EP with Royce Da 5’9 on June 13 under the name Bad Meets Evil. The first single, 'Lighters', features Bruno Mars and will be available the same day.
