The Steps comeback is really going ahead and to prove it they've announced a new Greatest Hits album, 'The Ultimate Collection'.
The compilation — which is almost identical to their first hits album 'Gold' — will feature the bonus track 'Dancing Queen'. They haven't officially confirmed this as an ABBA cover per se, but Steps were wont to cover ABBA a fair bit in their day so don't expect a brand new song that happens to share the title.
The release is set to coincide with the band's upcoming "explosive TV documentary series" on Sky Living.
In a press release, Richard Connell, General Manager for Sony Music CMG, said: “We are thrilled that Steps are working together again as we’ve really missed them for the last ten years. With the ‘Ultimate Collection’ coming soon and the documentary on Sky Living it looks like Steps will again be putting the fun back in pop at a time when we need it the most. We can’t wait to hear the band reminiscing and running through all their classics.”
Yes Steps, another ABBA cover was exactly what pop needed. Well done everyone.
