Reports that Jay‑Z will remove the word 'bitch' from his songs have been denied.
The rumours originated when a poem, supposedly written by the rapper, surfaced online last week.
It read: "Before I got in the game, made a change, and got rich/ I didn't think hard about using the word bitch/ I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it/ Now with my daughter in this world I curse those that give it."
There were suggestions that hits like '99 Problems' and 'Money, Cash, Hoes' would be self-censored or toned down in future sets. However, a source has informed E! News that the ode to Blue Ivy was not written by Jay at all and the whole thing was complete bollocks.
The Guardian report that the poem was in fact 'authored' by blogger Renee Gardner and circulated widely after it was featured on PerezHilton.com.
