Girls Generation will perform on The Late Show next week

K‑Pop col­lect­ive Girls Generation have been announced as the musical guests on the January 31 episode of The Late Show With David Letterman.

The nine-piece band will then perform on popular morning show Live! With Kelly the next day, confirms allkpop.com

The per­form­ances mark the first time the girlband have performed on main­stream US tele­vi­sion and follows the creation of a specific Billboard K‑Pop chart in recog­ni­tion of the genre's growing pop­ular­ity outside Korea.
