One of the great things about listening to internet radio is that you get to hear different pop from all sorts of places. One of the not-so-great things is that they don't always tell you the name of the rather good song you've just heard.
We were listening to Danish station NRJ Energy ("HIT MUSIC ONLY NON STOP") this morning and they played a song which, we noted, was above average in the whole toetappability stakes.
We grabbed a bit of the audio. Do you any of you know what it is?
Is it a really famous eurohit that just passed us by?
Who's it by?
What's it about?
Is it new?
Is it old?
Is it a long lost Joni Mitchell song?
Whack us over an email on [email protected] if you know the song.
UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who's emailed and tweeted. The song is 'Geronimo' by Aura Dione. You can listen to the full song at her website. (Thanks also to @paulhitsheet for pointing out that there is even an acoustic version but obviously the balls-out ridicuversion is best.)
Meanwhile, if you like the idea of NRJ Energy — they're paying Diana Vickers' 'The Boy Who Murdered Love' as we type — you can find them at http://www.nrj.dk, although we do most of our online listening through the v amazing Radioshift player. According to Radioshift, NRJ's schedule looks like this.
That's probably the greatest radio schedule of all time, right? Right.
