'Recycle It!' hitmaker Sam Sparro finds it weird that a lot of the people making music nowadays "aren't really musicians".
In an interview with the Herald Sun, Sparro waffles on about how he wanted new album 'Return To Paradise' to be more "organic-sounding", before adding: "There are so many people making music who aren't really musicians now."
"Isn't that weird? And so many DJs who are tone deaf. They can't seem to mix in key. I keep hearing remixes where the vocal is in a different key to the music and no one seems to care. It drives me crazy."
Thanks for that Sam.
Talking about how weird it is to perform current single 'I Wish I Never Met You' given its personal connotations, he continued: "I actually didn't think it would be when I wrote it. But it feels like reliving it all the time. I need to learn to detach from it more. But then do you lose the realness of the lyrics in the performance? I need to ask Adele how she does it."
'Return To Paradise' is out on June 18.
