The songwriters behind Shakira's 'Islands' have announced some UK gigs

The team respons­ible for the Shakira live favourite 'Islands' have unveiled plans to play three live dates in the UK in September.

Announcing the news via their own Facebook page the plucky team, who also con­trib­uted to Rihanna's last album, will play three shows at London’s Shepherd's Bush Empire, Cardiff Coal Exchange and Usher Hall in Edinburgh on the 10th, 11th and 12th of September respectively.

Tickets for the 'gigs' will go on pre-sale at 9am this Wednesday and on general sale at the same time on Friday.

They're going under the moniker 'The xx'. Good luck guys!
