Ed Sheeran has announced he is to sing (and probably play his guitar a bit) with Pink Floyd at that Olympics closing ceremony.
The fun-loving songwriter revealed this new level of boring to some Australian radio station (quoted here), saying: "I'm playing the closing ceremony — which I think is kinda cool right?"
WRONG.
"A lot of people think that I'm doing a song with The Who but I'm not — I'm doing a song with Pink Floyd," he went on to share, before dropping the (awful) news that they will be performing 'Wish You Were Here'.
Consider this your confirmed toilet break.
UPDATE: Pink Floyd have released a statement denying that they're playing at the closing ceremony. "In response to press speculation, Pink Floyd state that the band is NOT performing at the Closing Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games," it reads. So there you have it.
