Oh God we love The Knocks.
It all seemed a bit 'oh isn't this cool etc' to start with but, in the nicest possible way, it's not really very cool at all. They just bang out pop music. As you will have seen, yesterday's Song Of The Day was one of the songs from a new EP they've done — the 'The Same Old Songs' EP previously referenced in our PJ Almighty roundup on Monday.
The EP contains four songs. Two remixes, four covers.
Here's yesterday's Song Of The Day in case you missed it: a cover of 'Knock On Wood'.
This, meanwhile, is a cover of 'Ain't Too Proud To Beg'.
Elsewhere on the EP there are covers of 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' and 'You Can't Hurry Love' (the latter featuring Alex Winston 'on vocals') plus remixes of 'You Keep Me Hanging On' and 'It's The Same Old Song'.
You get the general idea. We don't know if there is a point to this EP but we suppose that is part of the point.
