You might be under the impression that the music industry is in crisis but there's clearly no crisis at SonyBMG because:
1. They're having a free piss-up 'showcase' thing (mainly a piss-up) for new band The Script…
2. …with POP UP INVITES…
3. …sent in nice yellow envelopes with posh black tissue paper lining…
4. …hand delivered by motorcycle courier.
Last year, in our amazing deconstruction (hem hem) of the Leona Lewis marketing campaign we noted that the quality of the invitation (and envelope) to her showcase was a clear signal that we would be dealing with a classy 'n' high end artist and we can't help but hope that this effort from The Script says something similarly important about their own music, although we're not sure what that important thing is.
