The funny thing about Kieran Alleyne's 'Comfortable' is that about three seconds into the song you're thinking "Jesus Christ not another one that sounds like this", then at about the 0:56 mark you're thinking "Jesus Christ why can't there be more songs like this".
Don't be fooled by a zeitgeisty production style because some of the songwriting on this song is top notch; the "you should lay back on me I'm gonna make you come… fortable" line is certainly a killer combination of triumph and travesty.
'Comfortable' may not be the most original-sounding song you hear all year, but it pulls all its influences together in a really exciting way and it seems like the sort of thing Justin Bieber should/would be coming out with were he not busy standing around in his pants and/or jumping up and down near Carly Rae Jepsen.
iTunes says Kieran's 'Breaking Good' EP's out on April 6 but you can buy it now for some reason. We are living in the future ladies and gentlemen — make the most of it.
