Ladyhawke's new single is 'My Delirium' and we think it's supposed to be the 'big' single from the album so make sure you buy it or — let's all be honest here — there probably won't be a large amount of major label cash thrown at the next album.
Here's the hot-off-the-presses video, which is sort of Thelma & Louise meets 'Take On Me'.

It's out December 8. December? Yes: THE MONTH OF CHRISTMAS. This is clearly* a Christmas Number One waiting to happen. All it needs is some sleigh bells chucked over the top and maybe some new lyrics about the festive period ('stop playing with my eggnog', 'stop playing with grandma's colostomy bag' etc etc) and it's job done. Ladyhawke could do a new video where instead of a car she's in Santa's sleigh, and instead of a guitar she's holding a Christmas tree. There should probably be some snow on the ground too. And she'd have to change her name to Ladyho Ho Ho. Actually Girls Aloud should do a Christmas song called 'Xmas! Ho Ho Ho'. Who do you think would win between Girls Aloud and Ladyhawke in a chart battle? Girls Aloud, we imagine — they've got a far bigger fanbase, radio and TV will look favourably on their proven level of popularity across a number of demographics, and it's likely that their single would simply be more commercial. Ladyhawke's song, while perhaps less commercially successful, would still however be successful in its own right as a piece of art, and so really when we talk about who would 'win' the chart battle, there is only one true winner: music. Music is the winner.
