We are, as a rule, huge advocates of radio edits. Life is busy enough as it is without someone noodling on for eight seconds longer than is required.
There was sadly a mishap with the radio edit of the new Scissor Sisters single.
The radio edit of 'Fire With Fire' takes the full length 4:13 album version and creates a radio-friendly 3:44 version but it does this by removing the best bit of the song.
Both versions of the track (along with some neither-here-nor-there remixes) are up for streaming on this internetular page so you can now here 'Fire With Fire' complete with its best bit.
As you can hear at 3:10 the radio edit piles in with a final chorus but in the proper version there's a second appearance of the "now we're free to be Number One…" bit followed — at 3:26 — by an amazing 'Stuart Price moment' which is also missing from the radio edit.
