We have been meaning to write about Unicorn Kid (pictured here having a little dance with Dumper) and now that his first big remix — of the new Pet Shop Boys single — is on its way now seems the right time. Basically his name isn't really Unicorn Kid, it's Oliver. Unicorn Kid is simply a name Oliver has adopted for the purposes of Being A Popstar.
Oliver principally uses FL Studio to create his distinctive multi-layered sound, but has also incorporated a MicroKORG and LSDJ into the material. Following his show at The Arches "Skinslife" party, Sabin has had a number of BBC Radio 1 and XfM appearances such as his live session on the Vic Galloway BBC Radio 1 show.
That second paragraph was basically nicked straight off Wikipedia but it looks like we got away with it.
Unicorn Kid's favourite member of JLS is Marvin.
This is what his last single, 'Lion Hat', sounded like.

It's all very early on for Unicorn Kid but there are big things on the horizon and you can listen to his mix of the Pet Shop Boys single on the BBC iPlayer as part of 'Wired', a very Popjustice-friendly show Neil and Chris hosted for Radio 2 on Monday. (There is even a Popjustice 'shoutout' — Popjustice in the house woop woop etc.)
