Here is a brief explanation of who is new on this week's Popjustice Almighty and the thinking behind these carefully thought out placings…
Amerie
Amerie is Number One in the Popjustice Almighty for 'Gotta Work' — her astute copying and pasting of Beyonce's 'Crazy In Love'. It is a near replica and bloody brilliant. Also the picture to the right looks as if she is split seconds away from flashing her Petula.
Mutya
Amazing video, amazing popstar, amazing buffet.
Timbaland
The album is still very good and we have had well over a fortnight to get sick of it.
Alphabeat
Brilliant electro-pop band that we have been meaning to write something about for ages but things keep cropping up. They are basically a bit like a cross between Abba and what The Unconventionals from X‑Factor should have been like.
Siobhan Donaghy
Finally coming away from trendy nitespots in East London to do a proper gig at Popjustice Live later in the month. It has sold out now, you know…
The Real Heat
Ditto.
Bodies Without Organs
Ditto again although substituting coming from East London for coming from Sweden. Perhaps in retrospect they deserved a higher placing for having to get on a plane for the event but our decision is final.
Dragonette
They are still good. FYI.
Melanie C and Christina Aguilera earn their places in The Popjustice Almighty for their continually shoddy services towards pop music.
Well done everyone.
