Little Boots, purveyor of electronic popular song, has a new album out today. It's called 'Working Girl' and it is her third album. You can buy it on nice coloured vinyl or you can stream it for nothing, and there are various different formats in the middle, but the point is that the album exists.
ANYWAY the song that reminds us most of Victoria's still-very-good debut album is 'Real Girl'.
The whole 'Working Girl' album project is super-stylised from the artwork to the interludes — it's all business suits and answerphone messages and Post-It notes and that sort of thing — but 'Real Girl' is the track that most breaks out from all that, and just exists as a really good pop song.
Good work Hesko.
