IS THERE ANYTHING MORE EXQUISITE than a new version of a song involving a surprise guest vocalist on the second verse? There's a lot of it around at the moment.
- Sia and David Guetta's 'Bang My Head' — BANG there's Fetty Wap.
- Zara Larrson's 'Lush Life' — CRASH there's Tinie Tempah.
- Sia (again) with 'Cheap Thrills' — WALLOP there's Sean Paul and yes fair enough he was in the middle eight rather than the second verse but you get the idea.
Anyway Years & Years are taking 'Desire' for a second trot round the paddock and this time they've roped in Tove Lo.
As crowbarred-in Polydor labelmate duets go this is something of a triumph. But then you think "oh hang on don't Years & Years also share a label with Carly Rae Jepsen" and you feel a bit pensive. Still — good work everyone.
