Wig connoisseur and seemingly unstoppable song machine Sia has a new song — ie it's not from 'This Is Acting' — called 'Angel By The Wings' on the soundtrack of a forthcoming documentary, The Eagle Huntress.
According to a 'rep' who spoke to someone at Billboard, it's an "uplifting pop song" that “showcases Sia’s mesmerizing vocals, inspiring listeners to look up to the sky, before unleashing a powerful refrain of ‘You can do anything.’"
(The same as all Sia songs then.)
The song — co-written with Greg Kurstin — apparently has an “indomitable spirit and positive message of female empowerment.”
(Ditto.)
That's all very well of course, but what does The Eagle Huntress' director Otto Bell think about it all?
“I'm incredibly grateful that Sia took the time to write and record this very special song,” he mused. “It's a wonderful vote of confidence for our documentary. I could not have imagined a more fitting, timeless piece of music for the film — it's such a beautiful girl power anthem!”
Just as an 'FYI', The Eagle Huntress is about Aisholpan, a 13-year-old Mongolian girl striving to become the first female eagle hunter in 2,000 years of male dominated history.
