A painting of a tree that was in the Rihanna video is being auctioned off

A  painting of a tree that appeared in Rihanna's 'We Found Love' video is being auctioned off next week.

92-year-old Gordon McKnight, who painted the tree back in 1983, told the BBC: "I am abso­lutely astounded at the level of interest in the tree painting. When the Rihanna furore came about, I dug the painting out of the attic and offered it to the church for the exhibition."

It is hoped that the sale will help raise "thousands of pounds" for Ballygilbert church.

Ridiculous.
