Fun-loving merchant of LOL Alanis Morissette has announced details of her new album 'Havoc And Bright Lights'.
The album will be released on August 27 and is preceded by the single 'Guardian', which will be played on May 11 and released four days later.
If you're thinking 'this all sounds a little bit serious, whatever happened to the mobile ROFL-factory that was the Alanis of old?', then prepare yourself for the following quote.
"This record, as always, is a snapshot of what I currently obsess about, care about, and what strikes me at 4 in the morning in my most introspective moments," she chuckled, as quoted by NME. "It is my emotional, psychological, social and philosophical commentary through song."
Here's the tracklisting:
'Guardian'
'Woman Down'
'Til You'
'Celebrity'
'Empathy'
'Lens'
'Spiral'
'Numb'
'Havoc''
'Win And Win'
'Receive'
'Edge of Evolution'
Look, readers, we know that a lot of you like Alanis but we need to be very clear on this: if we hear this and it's the usual moany old bollocks (and the songtitle 'Celebrity' is already setting off alarms left right and centre) we will not be covering the rest of this campaign on Popjustice. JUST SO YOU KNOW.
