A*M*E "couldn't be bothered to write a full-on song" when working on 'Need U (100%)'

A*M*E's been chatting away about how she co-wrote 'Need U (100%)' after a long night.

"We hooked up with Duke [Dumont, obviously] through the internet," she mused to — OH YOU KNOW IT — the Daily Star Playlist. "He was hearing what I was doing and filed over a beat to me and fellow song­writer MNEK."

(We doubt she said "fellow song­writer MNEK", but there we go.)

"We had just got in about half an hour before and were so tired we couldn’t be bothered to write a full-on song," she continued.

So what did you do instead, A*M*E?

"So MNEK hummed a little hook and I did the chorus lyrics really quick, and that’s how it came about."
