Donut-licking dog-piss surfer extraordinÂaire Ariana Grande has joined the cast of NBC's Hairspray Live where she'll take on the role of Penny Pingleton.
As you can see she was quite excited about it all:

The 'Snow In California' hitmaker will join the likes of Martin Short, Derek Hough, Harvey Fierstein, Kristin Chenoweth and Jennifer Hudson on the show, which 'airs' on December 7.
Obviously this is all well and good but what does Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment think about all of this? WHAT ARE HIS VIEWS?
"We’re absoÂlutely thrilled to round out our all-star ‘Hairspray Live!’ cast with Ariana Grande, one of the biggest recording artists in the world," he said .
"She’s also a Broadway baby at heart, having debuted on Broadway when she was 15, and will be fantastic in the delightÂful role of Penny Pingleton. We look forward to her millions of fans seeing yet another side to this mulÂtiÂfaÂceted performer and we welcome her to this incredÂible ensemble of artists."
So there we have it. Everyone's happy.
