Sadness-in-her-voice pop behemoth Carly Rae Jepsen, the noticeably happier Fifth Harmony and Kevin Jonas' brother Nick will all be performing at the Honda NHL All-Star Game on Sunday. It's happening in Los Angeles and has something to do with ice hockey, which is like Disney On Ice without the songs.
According to Billboard, Jeppo will perform her biggest hit, ie the Canadian national anthem, while Fifth Harmony will tackle 'The Star-Spangled Banner'. Jonas, meanwhile, gets to sing one of his many hits.
This is all very well of course, but what does your friend and ours Steve Mayer, NHL chief content officer and executive vice president have to say about it all? Quite a lot actually.
"We are pleased with the incredible lineup of entertainment that we put together for the 2017 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend. The All-Star Weekend will feature three days of can’t‑miss events, including the NHL100 celebration on Friday night, in a weekend where hockey takes over Hollywood. We are excited for Nick Jonas, Fifth Harmony and Carly Rae Jepsen’s All-Star Game performances for our fans in LA and those watching around the world."
Thanks so much Steve! Best of luck with this event!
