Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, née Tweedy, formerly Cole, also at one point just Cheryl, is apparently setting up her own record label.
According to a 'music industry source' with connections to Cheryl and the Daily Mirror, the label will launch next year and will be a home for music from all genres, not just pop.
“It’s a natural next step for Cheryl, having coached contestants for years on The X Factor," the 'music industry source' explained with the distinct tone of every other source that turns up in stories like this.
“She knows what it takes to succeed in the industry from her experience as a performer – both as a solo artist and as a group, from her years in Girls Aloud."
But does she definitely know her stuff?
“Cheryl definitely knows her stuff. The artists she’ll be interested in won’t just be pop acts – it will cross over all genres. She loves music and is really excited about being able to springboard new talent."
There are no dates of when it's all happening or information on which major might help fund it all (or indeed if it will be an independent), but no doubt that will be announced in due course, unless this whole thing is complete bollocks but the thing is readers we just like to think the best of people.
