Christina Aguilera will make a "heartfelt" new album

Christina Aguilera has hinted at the direction her next album might take.

Discussing her forth­com­ing role as judge on the new singing TV talent show, The Voice, the 'Woohoo' hitmaker  told USA Today that her next album would reflect her recent personal difficulties.

"For this one, I really want to make a real rooted, heartfelt record," she said. "After someone goes through the things that I have, regarding a divorce, there's a lot of emotions that are stirred."

Of the show, Aguilera outlined her dif­fi­culties with initially accepting the judging job, saying she wanted to be "part of something very positive and not negative just for television's sake. I wanted to bring pos­it­iv­ity and a really honest perspective".
