Simon Cowell seems to have finally confirmed the names of the two lucky people who will join him and LA Reid on the judging panel for the US version of The X Factor.
In an interview with Deadline Hollywood, he 'let slip' that Paul Abdul and Cheryl Cole would be joining him and Reid, saying of the latter that it didn't matter that absolutely no-one knew who she was in America (MTV describe her in their story as a "fashionista").
"I never think about it as an American or British audience," he explained. "She's a great judge. She's smart. It's just a hunch. If people take to her like the British public did, I think she's going to do really well in America."
It will also be the first time Cowell has worked with Abdul since she left American Idol in 2009.
"I missed her the second she left the show," he added. "Always loved working with her even though she can be a pain."
Won't it be amazing to see Abdul dancing away behind a big desk again?
Weirdly, Cowell's representative denied everything Cowell said in the interview, claiming "there's nothing new".
