Englebert Humperdinck has been selected to represent the UK at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest.
The BBC confirmed, through the official @bbceurovision Twitter account, that Humperdinck will fly the flag for the UK at the event in Azerbaijan on May 26.
Humperdinck told the BBC it is an "absolute honour" to be performing at this year's finals and that he is "excited and raring to go".
The UK last won the Eurovision in 1997 when Katrina And The Waves finished top of the vote with 'Love Shine A Light'.
