Garbage took a break from finishing up new record ‘Not Your Kind Of People’ to discuss what it will sound like and the process that has gone into its creation.
The band 'took to UStream' last night (as reported by NME) to answer fan questions. When asked about influences for the album, Shirley Manson said she had been looking back to "all these people that built my musical fabric", name-dropping David Bowie, Siouxsie Sioux, the Cocteau Twins, and Suicide.
Drummer Butch Vig discussed the recording process, saying they were "jazzed" about the record and adding that "the most challenging part of the album was just getting us into the studio".
‘Not Your Kind Of People’ is available on May 14.
