JoJo's been chatting away about her new album and the fact that it probably won't be out anytime soon.
Asked by Rolling Stone what her current relationship is like with her label, Blackground, the 'How To Touch A Girl' chanteuse said:
"I don't have a relationship with Blackground. They've stopped communicating with me, and they're unable to promote, market and distribute an album."
Blimey.
And while she'd like to record a third album rather than another mixtape, she'd prefer it to be with a nice label.
"I haven't recorded an album in so long that I don't recall what it's like," she continued. "But I want to release an album with the support of a reputable company, one that has distribution, pays its bills and has respect in the business."
"It's hard to flourish as an artist when the industry as a whole wants nothing to do with the label you are signed to."
Poor JoJo. But more than that, poor music. Poor 'the entire concept of entertainment'. Poor everyone who enjoys entertainment. Poor all of us.
