Justin 'JT' Timberlake, aka Justin Timberlake, has said his forthcoming, Pharrell Williams-produced album "punches you between the eyes", as opposed to making your eyes close like those last two.
Having a chat to Variety, Timberlake said the following words about the album:
“I wouldn’t say [my new material] is the antithesis of '20/20', but it does sound more singular. If '20/20' sounded like it literally surrounds your entire head, this stuff feels more like it just punches you between the eyes."
Phew.
There are also some quotes from fellow hat-botherer Pharrell, who seems quite excited about it all to be honest: "I would pay Justin a huge compliment to say he’s just discovering who he is now. Songwise, I think we’ve got a good solid six that are like, ‘Whoa, what was that? Play that again.'"
As for when we can expect it to be released? Fuck knows, basically.
“I think everyone I’m working with right now knows I’m notorious for being like, ‘Yeah, let’s work. I have no idea when I’ll put it out, though,’" Timberlake mused. "I’ll put it out when it’s done, when it feels right.”
Summer 2017 would be lovely, thanks ever so.
