Kylie Minogue's been chatting away about her new album, which apparently includes "some sparkle, some sex, some insouciance" and, much to everyone's disappointment, will not feature a song about rainforests.
:(
Asked by someone at E! what the sonic DNA of the album is like, the 'Timebomb' hitmaker explained:
"It would have some sparkle, some sex, [THIS IS THE BIT WE QUOTED ABOVE BUT YOU'VE PROBABLY ALREADY REALISED THAT] some insouciance. And joy — that's what I would hope. That's what people tell me… There's a lot to be said for making people feel good. That's, like, the most rewarding part of what I do."
She also said a lot of it would be about love, before adding seemingly apropos of nothing: "I haven't decided to sing about the rainforest at this point."
Asked to explain what on earth 'Skirt' was, she added: "I like to think of it as being the amuse-bouche of the meal," she says of "Skirt." "Your entire meal's not going to be like that; my album's not going to be like that."
Kylie certainly has a penchant for slipping in bits of French, doesn't she.
