According to a press release that just pinged into our inbox, Kylie Minogue's 'Into The Blue' single will be released on March 16, with an album to follow "later this year".
The single was written by Kelly Sheehan (who's worked with Rita Ora and Nicki Minaj) and is described as "a euphoric return to the dance floor".
The list of people who have worked on the as-yet-untitled album — Kylie's TWELFTH — includes Pharrell, Greg Kurstin, Metrophonic, Cutfather, MNEK and Ariel Rechtshaid.
Quite good.
Here's a quote from the lady herself about it all:
“2013 was a year of big change, planning and preparation for me and I’m so excited that 2014 is finally here so I can share this new music. 'Into The Blue' is really special to me as it encapsulates a lot of what I’ve been feeling — I can’t wait for it to be out there.”
Although she can, evidently, wait until March 16.
(Unless the song itself appears miles upfront of the release, which isn't beyond the realms of possibility.)
