Lady Gaga will appear in a future episode of The Simpsons. When we say "appear" we of course mean "she will be represented by a yellow cartoon version of herself but the voice will be hers".
The episode is called 'Lisa Goes Gaga' (needs work) and involves Gaga making a pit stop in Springfield after hearing about a spate of low self esteem. Apparently she cheers everyone up with "the power of speech, song, and a flash mob".
Still, it's not all about self help and loving yourself, there's also time for some (cartoon) girl-on-girl action, with Gaga sharing a kiss with Marge. “I play a little bit of a slut,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “The apple doesn’t fall far from my artistic tree.”
Of the move into voice over work, Gaga said: “I make music, but I don’t do voice-overs every day of the week, and their characters are so awesomely convincing and sincere and wild and funny, I had to remind myself constantly of the sincerity of the humor. That’s what I was trying to focus on, not putting on a character too much and really being as sincere as I could with the lines."
The episode is due to be shown in America next Spring.
