Ladyhawke has been given a taxpayer grant to use in the promotion of her upcoming album.
The New Zealand singer has been given $59,000 by The Music Commission as part of their Outward Sound scheme in order to promote her album while touring overseas.
Though Ladyhawke, real name Pip Brown, experienced success in the UK and her native Australasia with her debut, the album failed to make a dent in the US market, something which this grant hopes to change with her follow up.
