Lana Del Rey says 'Video Games' was inspired by World Of Warcraft

Lana Del Rey says the computer game ref­er­enced in ‘Video Games’ is online role­play­ing extra­vag­anza World Of Warcraft.

Del Rey admitted that the game formed the basis of her inspir­a­tion, saying: “It was World Of Warcraft. It's actually an all-consuming game.”

However she told Discopop.co.uk that her boyfriend wouldn’t let her join in two player mode – possibly one of the reasons for the break-up, adding: “in the end, we couldn't be together”.
