Writer of quite good songs Linda Perry is not a fan of Katy Perry.
When discussing her thoughts on the state of the 'industry' in relation to 20 years ago, Linda Perry deduced that "it's different." Quite. "Who wants a fucking Katy Perry record?" she continued, "I'm sorry, y'know, you're gonna get the two songs that are probably the hits, that are good, but the rest of the album is gonna be crap… It's gonna sound like shit and who cares about buying that record? …I'm not saying that's bad, but that's part of the reason why the music industry is in turmoil."
