Louis Walsh has confirmed that Britney is in talks about US X Factor

Louis Walsh has confirmed reports that Britney Spears has been approached about taking a place on the judging panel of The US X Factor.

As reported by Breathe Heavy, talking to Irish tele­vi­sion host Craig Doyle, Walsh said: "I know he is talking to Britney. I know he's def­in­itely talking to Britney to do the American show. Absolutely true and maybe Janet Jackson."

She's one of a number of female artists tipped as replace­ments for Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, who both recently confirmed they would not be returning as judges for the show's second season.
