Former deep v experimentalist Marvin Humes reckons an actual proper popstar will be discovered on this new series of The Voice.
(The one that he's presenting.)
His reasoning? Leona Lewis was discovered on the third series of The X Factor.
"If you think of The X Factor, it really struck gold in the third series with Leona Lewis, so you need to give a show of this scale breathing space," he told The Sun (as quoted here).
"I'm confident there will be stars produced from it this year."
Well, we'll just have to wait and see won't we.
(Mind you Marvin will have seen and met all the finalists by now as it's already in the can so he probably does have a fair grasp of what's floating around in the talent pool.)
