Ofcom have decided that Rihanna's video for 'S&M' is too explicit to be shown before the 9pm watershed.
Following complaints over WTF TV showing the video uncensored at 11.25am, Ofcom has ruled that the music channel was in breach of its broadcasting code.
In its verdict, Ofcom said that the video conveyed "a powerful, sexualised fetish theme" and noted that some of the practices in the video could have "potentially dangerous consequences" if copied by children.
According to the Guardian, the regulatory body has called music broadcasters to an emergency meeting to discuss the scheduling of "highly sexualised" videos, and will soon be issuing new guidance on the subject.
