Ofcom have ruled that Tulisa Contostavlos' 'signature' X Factor 'Female Boss' tattoo salute did not breach guidelines on the promotion of her perfume of the same name.
Complaints were made that her ridiculous arm gesture advertised her 'scent', but Ofcom ruled today that references were "appropriately limited".
However, complaints were upheld against a pre-Christmas episode of The Xtra Factor where the judge was interviewed by 'Murs and Flack' about her latest entrepreneurial venture. During the 'chat' Caroline mentioned that she had been wearing the 'fragrance' with Olly responding "I wondered why you were smelling so nice".
The statement reads: "Ofcom considered that, in light of the undue prominence given to the product by the sequence as a whole and, in particular, Olly Murs' endorsement of it, the sequence appeared to promote Tulisa's perfume."
"Also Olly Murs is a gurning twat."
(It doesn't actually say that last bit BUT IMAGINE IF IT DID.)
