Olly Murs wishes he became a popstar when he was younger.
The wizened old fucker (he's 28) said as much when he had a little chat with GRAMMY.com (you can see more here), admitting: "I wish that I was able to have done this a lot earlier. I don't have any regrets, but if there was one thing I would love to have done it was to have got into it at a young age."
"It felt — when I was growing up — that sport was the only thing you should do," the 'Busy' hitmaker explained before lamenting, "If you did music you were really different or weird."
Murs then went on to discuss his life before the dreaded X Factor audition, revealing: "I worked in a call centre and had just come back from travelling, I kind of didn't have anything socially that I was doing at the time so soccer was the only thing I had. That failed because of my leg — a knee injury. Karaoke and singing were the way forward!"
It's called football Olly, FOOTBALL.
