One Direction have scored what tends to be described as 'a chart double' with a Number One single and Number One album.
Their latest single 'Little Things' is top of the singles chart, while their second album 'Take Me Home' sold a rather large 155,000 copies in its first week to get to Number One in the albums chart.
According to Official Charts, 'Take Me Home' also became the second fastest-selling album of 2012, just behind Mumford & Sons.
Elsewhere in the Top 5, Bruno Mars is at Number 2 with 'Locked Out Of Heaven', and Little Mix's 'DNA' is 'sitting pretty' at Number 3. McFly also grabbed their 20th Top 40 hit.
Christina Aguilera's new album 'Lotus' debuts at Number 28 on the albums chart. There's not a lot else going on there to be honest unless you're a fan of Green Day or Alfie Boe and quite frankly we're not.
