One Direction have won a Silver Clef Award

One Direction have 'scooped' the best live act 'gong' at the Silver Clef Awards, reports the BBC.

The award was voted for by the public and saw the 'lads' beat off Coldplay and Bruce Springsteen with a quarter of the 26,000 votes cast.

Hair icon Harry Styles had this to say about it all: "We are over the moon. Congratulations to Nordoff Robbins on another amazing Silver Clef Awards. What an incred­ible charity, helping people with music therapy."
