Pitbull has recorded the theme song for the new Men In Black film

Rap beast Pitbull has recorded the theme song for Men In Black 3, a press release has confirmed.

'Back In Time' — which will be released in the UK on May 6 — was inspired directly by the film's complex narrative, as Pitbull explains: "Wanting to keep the music fun yet modern, we used the slogan of the movie and flipped it back into the song that 'in order to under­stand the future, you have to go back in time'."

He also revealed his respect for the film's star Will Smith, claiming the pair share "similar musical backgrounds".

The song features a sample of Mickey & Sylvia's 1956 hit 'Love Is Strange' and will be premiered in the UK on March 26.
